The harvest has started. I now have mice. I'm catching as many mice per day as I put out mousetraps.

I keep my floors relatively devoid of food, so there has been cannibalism on some of the mice after they die

Anyways, I'd just like to hear what some people do to keep mice out of their house during the harvest.

I doubt there's a whole lot I can do at this point. Oh, well...

DavidBeard had a cool shot, now THERES a creative use.

When I was disecting owl pellets in highschool I took everyones bones and made this really cool collage out of it. It broke really quick tho or I would post a pic of it. I swear I was born this way, no one made me more freaky than I am naturally ;P

Yous could get some dermestid beetles (is that how you spell it?) and have em picked clean in no time. Those beetles are AWESOME for taxedermy if you only want the skeletons (which I do).

Only someone with testicles and alot of free time would come up with, and actually accomplish that. Hilarious, regardless!!!

LOL I agree! Although I'd like to try it out someday with dead corpses{D hahaha Just kidding;P

I should have known better than to open that link.

Evil, best of luck with those rodents of yours. If you have caught numerous, then you must have an infestation, unfortunately. Do you live close to farms that you mentioned "harvest"? Are they all field mice?

I just want to point out that this thread title makes the number one slot on the "Least Likely To Appear featured in "Martha Stewart Living"" magazine list.

It barely beat "Twelve festive Hisser Roach Centerpieces" and "Do YOU have a nematode Infestation? Martha Shows How You Can Tell!"

They are all feild mice...small and brown. BL...maybe three inches or so, probably closer to two and a half on most individuals.

I have a cornfeild less than 50 feet from my house.

The undead mice sacrificing the T is brilliant! I told my son I think I found the woman of his dreams. {D In a few years, when he is old enough to date.

EC: I dedicate a T Keeper to you and you don't even comment? OK, send me a dozen mouse skulls as retribution. ;P

ROFL!! I love it. Very creative. I've just sent the link to the LED rat up to a friend of mine who loves anything that has to do with LEDs. I have a feeling his house is going to be decorated in those soon.

ROFL that is hilarious. Just imagine getting out of your car and seeing one of these suckers pasted on it!

I'd do this if I had the no how, the stuff, and didn't mind rat guts.

Alas, I am slightly confused.

So many people say thats weird and gross to the LED rat project when I told them about it. Honestly? I keep rats as pets. I STILL think thats a interesting project. Does it mean I'm gonna kill my rats and make em into LED throwys? No. But I sure as heck am considering getting frozens (they are dead anyway, I guess this doesn't bother me so much) and doing this project. Exept I'm considering getting a few frozens off of ebay (YES! They sell frozen animal bodies for taxidermy!) and making a weird mutant franken throwey. *evil laugh*

I have a heart but I own reptiles. The circle of life and artistic side of me has to come out somtimes.
