That's awesome! You should get him more plants on the sides. But wow, how much did you get him for if you don't mind me asking?

The key with crested geckos is to hold them by their tales.

Sorry, I realize this post is kind of non-not so spineless wonders, but I just discovered that video and thought of this thread and could not resist bringing the video here.

Nice Pick up and I look foward to seeing him breed with a solid pin female in the near future.

Quite the handsome fellow!

Out of curiosity ... if a crestie looses its tail, is it a similar to geckos like leopard geckos in that the new tail is usually far less attractive than the original?

They don't.....

Pavel, they do not grow back if they loose there tail. They can become damaged and still retain their tail, but once it is gone it is gone for good. In the thread http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showpost.php?p=1423759&postcount=140 I speak a little about tail loss in cresteds. Furthermore, I think I have a few pictures of the 1 or 2 geckos thay I have that lost their tails.

Hope this helps,
Joe

Thanks, Joe! What a shame. Gotta admit that does surprise me though. Just seemed like tail regeneration was a rather common gecko phenomenon.

No problem & it is.....

No problem, & you do have to be more careful with these buggers then all other regenerating tail geckos. However, the ones that can take good care of them and have kept them with tails intact benefit because it keeps their value up as it should for these beautiful creations.
