i was planing on using a larger habitat(16 0z) so i can put a live flowering plant(buttercup or something like that) thanks for the infoHi,
i do. Though no Misumena ssp., possibly a Xysticus spec. from spain, but i guess this shouldn´t be a too big difference.
They´re quite simple to keep: just a deli cup will do, add some substrate and some kind of twigs or fake plants, that´s all.
I use to keep mine at room temperature and with moderate humidity (~ 50-60%). I feed it crickets, one every two weeks.
My lady usually rests at her fake leaf and you just don´t see too much activity. However, sometimes i find her strolling around in the deli cup and even on ground level. Over some weeks she has build fine silk strands that range through her enclosure, donno, for what purpose, perhaps to attract males.
All in all very easy spiders, but also not too interesting to observe as they are true ambush hunters. Only hunting times are a sight to behold, they can take down prey much larger than themselfes.
If there are any questions still open to you, don´t hesitate to check back. If you get one of the bright coloured Misumena, i´d advise to give them a fake plant that resembles the colour of the spider.
