Hi.

This guy/gal ended up in my pants while indoors. I felt the bite and carefully got him/her into a container as I'm not yet able to identify and want to see if it recovers.

Bite is small with slight raise near a darkish puncture, slight itch. Spider is pinkie-nail size or smaller (measurements in morning), amber legs and grey/silver body. It's not looking so hot. I put a small damp piece of paper towel in there with it and will let it go once it recovers -unless I keel over I guess. Any ideas?

Location is UK, South

Any advice is much appreciated
-Rose

Looks like maybe some type of Gnaphosidae.
Yep! I would say Scotophaeus blackwalli.
Edit: I haven't seen anything about their bites, but most North American spiders are pretty harmless. Unless you have an allergic reaction or infection, I wouldn't worry about it.

You won't keel over. Despite what some of your local press will have you believe, you haven't any spiders there with medically significant bites. You'll be fine, if perhaps itchy. Spider fangs can have bacteria on them, so it is possible to get a bacterial infection from any spider bite (as with any puncture wound), but keep it clean and don't put your filthy fingernail on it and you'll survive :)
