Hi
I have an adult female ... she hasn't been seen for months and she has webbed up the whole substrate area...she is in her burrow and has closed one end,... I know this is her normal behaviour but I am wondering how to or if I even should, do a tank change.... she hasn't fed for a while.... I have had Ts for a while and I have 2 others....should I just leave her be? I csnt even see into the burrow to check if she is alive! I've attached photos... she is in there somewhere!

Looks like you are using gel in the water dish. T's cannot drink from gel. Use fresh water only.

First of all, get rid of the water gel and give her fresh water.

Water gel are actually polyacrylamide gel that have caused impaction in animals and is quite dangerous.

Though I'm not sure about impaction in tarantulas, this product can cause acrylamide toxicity.

So please, get rid of the gel and give her fresh water.

Secondly, leave her be. If she's buried herself, she wants to be alone. When she's ready you'll see her again.

If your enclosure doesn't stink, she's still alive.
