I just noticed on my post shed cornsnakes that they have an irridescent sheen to them. I'm curious if anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, I've caught that a few times. It's awesome to see isn't it? I'm pretty sure all snakes have the irridiscent glow to them in the right light. I've seen it on corns, kings, chondros, boas and even the timber rattler I had.

You should take a close look at some of the Australian pythons in the genus Antaresia. That have the irridescence full time, before and after a shed, much more brilliant than other snakes on those guys. Sometimes when you take pics of them, the pics come out looking like a white snake because of it.

Sunbeam snakes and rainbow boas also have a beautiful iridescence. Photos don't show it too well, but in person it is cool.
