One of my brothers forgot to put some weight on the lid of the cage so that the snake cant push it off, after he put the snake away. I've looked almost everywhere, I was wondering if it would climb into places, or go into the vents. Any help would be awsome

Depends on where the vent is located, if its on the ground, heck yeah!

The only help I can give you is....its like a missing person case....the first day or so is the critical day, the crucial time, the essential part!!!

....I think you get the point {D

Split your house up into parts. Thoroughly search each room INCH BY INCH. Search EVERYWHERE...even places where you're almost 100% sure it can't be in. I've caught my 4 ft monitor lizard in places you wouldn't even imagine, so a corn snake....to the limits of your imagination.

Basically what you're doing is using deduction to find out where the snake is. If you can't find it in a day or two, either it'll pop up somewhere later on, or...shrug.

I gotta go do something so I'll leave the rest to someone else.

P.S. They will usually seak a place for water and warmth, so try looking around spots that fit this discription like in the bathroom. Much luck to you!

REMEMBER, BE CREATIVE IN UR SEARCH, JUST BECAUSE UR PRETTY SURE IT CAN'T BE SOMEWHERE IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. SEARCHING IN THOSE PLACES WONT KILL YOU, SO DO IT! IF U STILL CAN'T FIND IT IN THE END, NO REGRETS! CAUSE YOU TRIED YOUR BEST AND THE BEST IS ALL YOU CAN GIVE.

Try putting out a dead mouse. I know nothing gets my python's attention like the reek of dead rodent! If it hasn't eaten too recently, that might do it. The stinkier, the better. {D

I'll try that, if it got in the vents than its going to be almost impossible to get it, I sure hope it shows up soon

Make sure you check under tight places, like under refrigerators, washer, dryer, etc. In all the times I've lost mine they went to the dark, tight places.

Good luck!

When my yellow rat snake decided to go walk about..
I usually found him in between stacked totes. I have no idea how he got into those tiny spaces..
But look in places that you don't think it can get into...
