does anyone know what part of florida eleutherodactylus coqui were introduced to???ive never heard there call here in palm beach and might be into collecting some.thanx.
Good luck if you catch one, there are plenty here and don't make good pets. They'll drive you nuts after 7pm with the loud "coqui coqui coqui" incessant chant and are very small, hyper and difficult to trap. We used to try to catch them when I was a little girl and always had to let them go. The noise at night won't let you sleep if you keep it inside the house and suffer in captivity if you dont give them enough space to jump.
I dont know anyone here that would want to have them as long term pets either or inside a house. too noisy.
