I stopped by a smallish pet store today after a few garden supplies when I figured I might as well take a look at the T's, after all, I had money to spend.
I looked through cage after cage of "stripe leg tarantulas" and had given up on finding anything interesting when I come to the last cage. Imagine my surprise to see a dark brown T with huge fuzzy back legs. I figured it was a stout leg baboon (still learning to spell/say its scientific name) and for a price of $24 I couldn't pass it up.
She is 2.5" and in pretty good shape. I know she isn't a amazing species but its a rare find for my area and one of the T's on my want list. I'll have to get pictures before she burrows and disappears.
