Coptolabrus sp?just a guess
Acoptolabrus is also possible (in the pic we don't see whole pronotum). Both are subgenus names in genus Carabus.

Thats it it was Coptolabrus sp. the pic sucks i know these little guys just move really fast and the stink they release when pissed off just wasnt something i wanted on my hands at that point in time. :) I really wanted to bring it back with me to add to my collection but I just didnt want to kill it, it sucks i used to kill them all the time and pin them, but since i got into this hobby i havent been able to kill them, i have to find a happy midline.
cheers

Yes. As every Carabid beetle. Try this with Brachinus crepitans, B. explodens or B. sclopeta. They release exploding substances. It looks really nice... and even you can hear small explosion.

I know that pain  I'm still killing them sometimes but I need that for my work. I'm entomologist.

Here you are most interesting and common Carabus species from Poland
Carabus coriaceus - the largest european specie

Carabus auronitens
