I am hoping although I doubt I can buy a Conus textile. I am 100% new to any underwater animals. So could anyone tell me anything about these snails other then them being venomous and how they invenomate you.

conus are awesome snails{D i collect all kinds of marine snails,as well as land snails,i have been trying to get some conus textile myself, with no luck ofcourse, the person i deal with said that the wholesalers won't deal with them, being they are really venomous,i have some fla, carribean cones, been trying to find the scientific name for them, don't know how toxic these are, they bury themselves in the sand,i believe they are worm eaters,i tried fish, snails, clam no luck,so i put frozen blood worms in there,i guess they are eating them, also there are bristle worms in the tank,so maybe they are eating them as well, they have a "harpoon like structure in the front of their shell underneath which has venom,it tracks down it's prey, then it shoots out the venom harpoon and stings, paralizes it's prey, then swallows it whole, you shouldn't handle cone snails at anytime:eek: they can stick that harpoon out and sting you, some conus are more venomous than others, mine i'm not sure how bad they are but i'm not gonna want to find out, hope this little info helps:D

Ya they ship Conus worldwide. But there is a minimum order and you have to be a wholesaler.
