Hi everyone, I'm looking for a second opinion on the state of my Phidippus regius pictured here.

Today I noticed her abdomen looks twisted, for lack of a better word... it seems like an abnormal position and I'm concerned she may be injured. Would greatly appreciate any input on this, has anyone seen anything like this before? Am I right to be worried something is wrong?

For now I'm continuing to monitor and am really hoping she will straighten herself out, but I've never seen a jumper's abdomen in a position like this before so I'm quite worried. :(

Thank you all in advance.

That does look abnormal. How is she behaving? Can she rotate her abdomen or is it fixed in that position? Has she molted recently? Is there anything that could have caused her abdomen to sit at that odd angle? Is there any hemolymph leaking/bleeding? By the pictures, it does not look like she's bleeding. But take another look at her just to make sure. EDIT: It looks like she had a bad molt. Some of her back legs appear to be a bit messed up too, hopefully she can straighten things out with another molt. Wishing the best for your spider!

Might have gotten stuck somewhere and twisted to get out but damaged itself while doing so.
