L.A.T.E. will be having their first big official 'gig' in Charlotte, Mi on 8-8-08!!!!
We're looking forward to a late dinner~time bonfire and marshmallow roast, while we talk and chatter endlessly about the T's we all love so much! We're encouraging a pot luck style dinner and I'll provide the grill and the staples.
There's room for tent camping and access to clean restrooms, for those who choose to B.Y.O.B.!! Bring chairs and blankets for lounging!!
The inaugural event will go on until the last person falls off of L4 and they get the illustrious job of putting the fire out...lolol
Tours of the Throne Room will be a matter of course.

We'll be having a raffle for a 2" B.smithi, with all proceeds going to James Tuttle's legal expenses.:clap:

We'll be deciding as a group on our new logo and tossing around ideas for T-shirts and/or ball caps and such.
Don't forget to bring pictures of your favorite T's..and videos of them , if you have them! We will also be viewing Stan and Margurite's home videos on a 60" screen....
Dress comfy casual....fancy folks will be soundly laughed and pointed at....

I'm all for the raffle tickets in proxy - even though I should be getting a little b. smithi this week. Not so much for the smithi, which is an awesome prize, but more because I like buying raffle tickets to support a good cause!

Anyways, to everyone going, have a great time! Sounds like it should be a fun event, I'll be celebrating from here!

We're currently planning the pot luck!
Anyone have anything special they want to add on the menu? It would be great if we all knew what we were bringing, so we don't end up with 45 bags of chips and no potato salad....

So far we're open for just about anything in the way of food. We have the meat nailed down and I think our chef is bringing a salad of some wonderful kind...other than that; anything goes. (No haggis, please! lolol) Too bad we don't know anyone who knows how to make chocolate covered crickets...we could make a game out of it....icky - but fun!
We'll be doing a "white elephant" exchange . We're trying to keep the value of everyone's "mystery gift" between $10-$30...that way no one feels gyped.. If you don't have a sling or bug to wrap - consider a bug or t.room related certificate or something; those always go over well...... (Lowe's; Micheals, etc.)
We'll be doing a "sex the pokie" contest just for fun and giggles; and also a B.emilia breeding is scheduled.

This is not being overplanned, as we expect to fly by the seat of our pants..lol.. hopefully that will keep the whole thing feeling more like a family reunion; than a staged event...
Bring your tent & chairs...lmao!
