For a very long time while keeping snakes, I was looking for size, but usually held back on that since ive never been able to accomodate it. Now, ive begun to see the beauty in smaller snakes and I now have come back to keeping colubrids, and after buying two the other day, I feel like I might get some more.

So, just post thoughts or feelings or pictures of or on colubrids.

I will post pics of mine shortly.

Like many people starting out with snakes, I bought into the mindset that boids were THE snakes to keep, and colubrids weren't worth the trouble. Well, since then, I've gotten into colubrids, and I believe right now, the number of colubrids outnumbers my boids. Don't get me wrong, I love my boids, they are fascinating snakes. It's just that the colubrid family consists of so many fascinating species that have unique qualities about them, i.e. hognoses, flying snakes, egg-eaters, Pituophis, Elaphe, etc. Anyone who restricts themselves to boids does not know what they are missing out on.

Anyway, on with the pictures. :)
