I know it's a bit silly of me concerning myself over aesthetics but my healthy gorgeous breeder colony of locusts are all a tad dark, were talking grey-ish here. They are healthy, breed well, the young come out quite bright as all locust young do but I feed them merrily to my lizard before they get to adulthood. Anyone know why the adults would come out so dark? Is it something to do with the lighting?
Thanks for your time folks.
Me and my useless concerns.
Oh and another thing some of you might find interesting, or know allready as the case may be.
My best buddy has a colony of hissing roaches and he feeds them on nothing but blackberry leaves. When I was over there I noticed they were all yellow where mine are read. Could this be the food? (it's probably the only option, asking otherwise seems silly) he claims it happened all at once so it must be something to do with their environment... right?
Anyways... good luck on figuring that one out for me.
