It's pretty funny to watch, I saw someone get a bug on a backcountry trip once, brought everything to a halt for hours. I will never forget him screaming "It's moving around in there" as he shakes his head from side to side. "It's mbooobvin abroubndnd inbn theber!"

That's really creepy. I honestly can't imagine how you wouldn't immediately get bugged out (sorry for the bad pun) that a roach was in your ear!

I saw a story a month or two back about a woman that had a spider in her ear. Surrounded by countless spiders and I still can't imagine that happening

Yes that's the one! to think it molted in there as well

There is another video on youtube I just found from 2018 where a jumper crawls out a woman's ear, never seen something so adorable but hard to watch at the same time

It seems in both cases they were jumping spiders!

People can be so weird. Lie on side and get someone to pour olive oil in your ear. Coax it in gently until you can barely hear at all. Then wait it out. If bug is dead best move is an ENT. Takes less than five minutes. If any sharp or significant pain, ENT please.
PS Burn your Q-tips. Never never never..... unless you're into impactions.

I had an ENT state the only thing I could put in my ear to clean with was my elbow
