I give, my Gromphadorhina portentosa and Blaberus giganteus, dry cat's food, apple and cabbage. Sometimes fresh chicken meat and carrots.

You can give them food in that way as on the photos (no mites, no mould).

and how many hissing cockroaches do u dudes have??
:D :D :D Don't ask me :D :D :D

I don't know. I had Gromphadorhina, Blaberus and Nauphoeta escapes (larvae and mature insects). Sometimes they escape to T's tanks. And this is the end of their short life :D It really helps in finding them... but in our climat you don't need to worry about escapes (but in UK it is warmer than in Central Europe).

Even if they are mature you can wait very long. I waited for my first larvae almost 6 months (since last moult of female).

Be patient :D

Catfood is a little high in the protein unless you are feeding Eublaberus spp. Cheap dog food without alot of artificial coloring and preservatives is acceptable. Supplement once or twice a week with some fresh veggies/fruits and offer waterbites for hydration. Keep everything dry to avoid problems. Roaches need food, water, warmth and abundant dark hiding places. If you supply those things they will grow and breed after all they are roaches.

:D thanks for the tips people.by they way what are water bites?????

Polyacrylamide copolymer.....they are also known as waterbites, cricket quencher, soil moist, watersorb, water gel and so on depending on your source and what purpose they are being marketed towards. Its cheapest to get them from a garden supply center in bulk rather than a petstore....although some invertebrate dealers have been kind enough to buy in bulk and then sell smaller quanity to customers for a very reasonable price. You can find them at petstores already hydrated and you will get charged TOP DOLLAR for them but buy the dry product in moderate quanity and you'll get more than you can use in several years for the average invert enthusiast or someone who breeds their own feeders and at a very modest price in comparison. All you do is add water until the crystals stop absorbing it and then they are ready to use. You can make up a small amount at a time and keep the excess in the refridgerator to keep them fresh until you use them.

Yes, they are plastic. Real plants would disappear in a few days. :D
