One of my roaches aborted an infertile eggcase last night, then the rest of the roaches ate half of it. Is this normal?

means your not feeding your roaches enough, and if you feed them enough, then let them eat it, its okay.

But it wasnt pregnant, no males in the tank, so is it normal for an eggcase to develop in the first place?

yes.

when did you buy the hisser and was it located with other males/females? it takes months depending on humidity and heat levels for a female to pop her eggcase, she might of been pregnant but if the levels arent expected, she will abort her ootheca. madagascar roaches are slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww SLOW SLOW SLOW breeders, and pregnancy is as slow as their breeding habits.

yes.

I have a giant cave cockroach, not a hisser. Second, I raised it from a small nymph, and there are only females in the tank, I triple checked, only females.
