cockatiel name...

Need a bit of help choosing a name for my new cockatiel. To make a long story short, my son killed my parakeet with a fork while I was taking a nap. I know I know...my fault, should have fixed the lock on the door. I was heartbroken, cried the entire day, and takes all my strength not to cry still. She was a sweet sweet bird, loved to have her head scratched, loved to sleep under my hand, give kisses...and wanted nothing more than to be with me. I dont know how my son did it,..but he fessed up to it a day later. Before that I thought she had fallen off her perch, or was sick.

Anyway, we picked up a new cockatiel 2 days ago, as a bit of a distraction from the tragedy...and he's so sweet! I lucked out once again! He's definitely a boy, and he is a normal grey, but very beautiful! He loves to kiss, has never bitten me, loves to play with my hair, be petted, always wants to be on my shoulder. I know im supposed to let him adjust to his surroundings first, but he was so loveable I couldnt keep him away from me. lol.

Anyway, here are a few names ive picked out. Amigo being the preferred, though my fiance things its corny..but I think a little corn is good

Ill take pics once I get a new camera for christmas!

I voted cheeto, I think it would be a good name thats easy for the tiel to learn to say.

Well, I voted for "Amigo" because my best friend has a "Queen of Bavaria Conure" named Amigo, and it suits him just perfectly.

Since your tiel is so lovable and all - I just think it's a fitting name. Plus, I like the sound of it.

Thanks everyone, and thank you Wendy. It still saddens me, but I cant keep dwelling on it.

Ive decided on the name Amigo. It sounds a bit funky when I say it..but ill get used to it, im sure. And the name really fits him because he is like a friend to me, even more like a child. He's a great bird!

Ill update with pics after Christmas. He's getting a bigger cage this week, so ill post pics of that as well!
