Does anyone remember these? They were sold as Cyclosternum sp. probably 10 years ago + or -. I used to have one and now I can't even find a photo of one online!!! I found a few sites that supposedly had pics of them but they look black. Mine was a very noticeable blue.

Sounds Interesting

I am fairly new to the hobby and haven't heard of this sp. Sounds to me like a GBB though.

Is this what your talking about? This is a pic from Swift's labeled as Cobalt redrump/ Cyclosternum sp. If you use search you will find this exact same thread by the way. I haven't heard anything knew about this though.

It was similar but def not a GBB. It didn't web as much and the carapace was blue and it's a slightly different blue. I had a GBB at the same time and they were definitely different.

Thanks. I thought I did search on here a few weeks ago but maybe I just googled it. That's it for sure though.

Searched again. Just like on google, I get a lot of results containing the words Cobalt Blue and Redrump but not all together. Anyhow, thanks for the proper picture. Nothing else I've seen does these beauties justice.

I couldn't find the thread that was on here several months ago about this species. I tried. I know I responded to the same question you had though. You could try and contact Kelly Swift by email and ask him about this. Just don't expect a quick response from him as he is very busy and the best way to contact him is to call him. The phone is in his T building though which is separate from his house.

He's coming to the reptile show that I'm going to Saturday. If I happen to see him while I'm there I'll ask him about it. Shoot I'll at least ask Mike Nelms who breeds and is a seller at the show. He's also friends with Kelly and might be able to help you out on this. I'm curious to find this T as well.

I used to have these in the late 90s as well. Kelly's website is the only place I've been able to find pics of them. It is a shame they seem to be gone from the hobby.
