A friend of mine works at a pet store and informed me of a Regal Jumping Spider that arrived, but with no info. I've been looking to get one, but we are unsure if it is male or female. I'm guessing the latter considering it's chelicerae are a reddish-purple, but I'd also like the opinion of someone more experienced in this hobby than me, as I have only ever kept local jumping spiders I catch myself. Would also love any tips and tricks regarding caring for Regals!

For enclosure:

32oz deli cup with tiny air holes on the top and sides.
Coco fiber substrate.
Water dish (a water bottle cap works perfectly.)

Feed small crickets when the abdomen does not look plump. Do not leave live prey in with the spider for over a day.

It is a female, as evidenced by the shape of her prosoma/carapace and the purple chelicerae. Possibly a subadult or an adult one.
