I found one of these critters on my car near a tree in front of my house. I looked it over, and didn't see any hitchhikers or visible parasites. I don't spray any pesticides on my trees or anything, and this isn't an adult (no wings, yet) so it couldn't have flown here.

Should I not feed it to the scorps, or do you think it's fairly safe? As I said, I don't spray my plants/trees with anything, and didn't notice any sort of hitchhikers.

Do you mean a katydid? Either way, I wouldn't recommend it. If its been outside then it could have been exposed to chemicals that could harm your scorpions. It may not have been exposed in your yard but it could have been in some one else's. Most likely nothing will terrible would happen but its kinda like feeding your kid something past its expiration date.

I use to but, I only gave them to a flat rock I had years ago because she was such a picky eater. She never touched mealworms or crickets and she would occasionally take a pinkie. But she never refused a katydid. Go figure.
