It has taken around three months, but my Kaegan is now chubby! It makes me so happy, he was really thin when I got him, 54g for his 11inch length, he's definitely more now. I got him to eat a piece of mango last night too, that was exciting, lol. Hopefully he'll pig out on veggies soon. He's supposedly 8-9 months, but is no where near that size. Who knows!

Sure do, I don't use the log anymore, he never touched it, he happily hops from the log hide to the platform (which we made) and under the tile is paper towel, makes cleaning really easy!

Thats pretty cool. I like the idea of using the tile, I bet it would make cleanup easy. Do you use any special lighting? my friends have 2 in the same cage but I dont think they use anything but a heat lamp.

cool beardie, one of my friends has one and I think it is a little over-fed. :p

it looks more like a cushion than a lizard.

Haha, he used to be too thin, so I'm happy with his cushion-y ness. He has a 65watt flood light for heat (his basking spot surface temp needs to be around 110*F) and a UVB light the length of his tank. They need a UVB light to be healthy. I also know it's frowned on to keep two together, they are VERY territorial. I had to wrap most of Kaegan's tank with dark paper, he was attacking his reflection! It was crazy!

LOL. I just find that funny.

-Laceface, I'm going to tell them about the UVB light. I think they are eventually going to seperate them they are not as big as the one you have.

Ahh, when they are smaller I'm pretty sure its ok, just have to watch, they'll bite each others toes/tail.

Yeah, its slightly amusing when they get their reflection, lol. Kaegan would spend forever clawing and puffing at the glass.

years ago i bought some baby beardies, had them in the same tank with no problem. but that only works when both are the same age/size and while they are small. when they are older they will bite each other and need their own tank. all of mine were already missing toes, tips of tail and such before i got them. i was told they were missing toes and tips of tails and one even a hand. everybody else asked the seller about the other - perfect - beardies. so i said i wanted the "special ones". they had no problem, grew nicely, stalked mealworms, chased crix, ate their veggies. i miss them.
you are so lucky, so is your beardie.

I also raised two beardies years ago. They were fine together until they started to mature, I ended up with a male and female. He never picked on her physically but freaked her out with his displays and such. Even after I seperated them, I kept them across the room from each other and sometimes she would STILL try to hide from him.
I remember spending SO much money raising those two, spared no expenses. Both got to about 18 inches nose to tip of tail in like 8 or 9 months and they were the most beautiful dragons I'd seen in Boise.
I miss mine too....:(

Aww, cuties! I love it. Beardies are definitely awesome. I wish I really knew how old mine was, but I don't think the seller knew what he was talking about. I gess as long as he's healthy, I can't ask for more!
