I'm not sure about this, but how would they handle chlorinated water?

It's probably best to let the water set out a day or two to make sure all of the chlorine escapes.

I wasn't going to. I was just wondering because I've seen alot of videos on Animal Planet and youtube where monitors, snakes, alligators, and crocodiles are swimming in pools. I'm not sure if the pools are chlorinated, but some look like it. That made me wonder.

Reptiles wandering briefly into a swimming pool probably wouldn't suffer any real side effects (except maybe drowning if it was a snake or something and couldn't get out again). I wouldn't think they'd be likely to drink much of it, since it's bound to taste nasty with the chemicals and all.

Now, an amphibian like a frog would be something totally different, since they absorb chemicals directly into their skin, making them hypersensitive to pollution. Poisoning would happen much faster, though I couldn't give you a timetable or anything.
