Hey all,
Anyone know the how long these can take to hatch?

I have had three ooths of this species for just over a month now; one hatched out about a week ago, and the other two I'm still waiting on.

They were all hung in the same cricket tub, with a moist piece of kitchen towel at the bottom, and sat on top of a heat mat (as advised).

Would it be normal for ooths of this species to incubate longer than a month? Or should I be starting to worry these other two may be un-fertilized?

Thanks!

Examine the unhatched oothecae for the appearance of any holes, etc. Assuming these are collected in the wild, and depending on your location, they may have already hatched out earlier in the season. If no holes present, just keep waiting. :D

These ooths were captive breed. So I should just keep waiting right?

Is there any sure-fire way of knowing whether an ooth is un-fertile or not?

Yeah, I'd just keep waiting, especially since your first one just went last week. The other two might have been "laid" significantly later than your first one or something, so it's really just a waiting game.

Not familiar with techniques for determing fertile or not in this case, but I really haven't heard of infertile oothecae too often. More often they're hatched already or maybe got overheated and immatures cooked/dried out.

Not sure what temp you're keeping em at, but obviously keep an eye on em to prevent that happening.
