the news is, the cb F3 are available on the market as food
some pals on the Chinese board posted some pics of GS in some local sea food restaurants, priced as ??(money)/per kg

also, they've found morphs of these mega monsters

BTW, they call them BABY Fish, cuz they used to think they cry like babies in some ancient references

Bay, hellbenders are North-Americans, which is smaller and the only new world one

Then again, isn't using CB salamanders to satisfy this demand better than people going off and taking them from the wild population?

Seeing they are being offered as food perhaps means captive breeding has been very successful.

that's very true in terms of breeding successfuly
and locals tried very hard to protect wild ones in their region,cuz some believe those giants are some sorta gods or owners of the rivers
however, some greedy ppl still believe that Wc one taste better
