and while im on the topic how oftern should i been feeding my full grown emporer scorpion, just to make sure im keeping things good for her too.

generally, a feeding pattern of 2-3 times a week should be sufficent for a sub-adult. It also depends to a certain degree on the temp you're keeping her at. spiders usually eat more/grow faster at higher temps. personally, i like to break up the feeding to make it more naturalistic ie: feed two days running, nothing for four days, every other day for a bit etc... but I don't know if that makes any difference whatsoever to the T.

I feed all of mine every week or two, including G. rosea. No set schedule, really.

Once a week is plenty and if you skip a week every now and then, it won't do any harm either. As for your scorp, I would have no idea, but maybe ask in the scorp forum.

One of my roseas is actually eating lately, and I'm giving her 2 crix a week. It is amazing how quickly she got fat-and how fat she got -after an extended fast . She's my fattest T at the moment. 2-4 crix a week is plenty.

Scorps and T's should be fed based on similar or identical schedules. Both scorps and t's fast for long periods of time occasionaly, especially if overfed.

G. rosea? You could skip a month or two and it won't hurt them. As matter of fact they do that on their own. 4 to 6 crickets a month is plenty.

This animal just doesn't burn a lot of calories.

yeah mines been getting fed 2 to 3 times a week and i just thought he was starting to look a little fat, so i thought i would cut back a bit. i dont feed him on a regular schdule though i just randomly decide to feed him. but i think ill cut back on feeding him for a while. he a sub adult, hes about 3.5 inches from back legs to front legs. but thanks for all the replys

as for the fasting my scorp just did one of those, she went like 4 weeks without eating but she finally started showing interest in food again.

heres a couple pics of him and you guys can tell me if you think he looks fat.

nice rosea! i feed mine twice a week, thursdays and sundays... but worry not, normally a T wont overfeed, it may be eating a lot now, but will stop one day... cheers
