transfered my C. fasciatum over to a bigger enclosure....mixed greens container from the grocery store....they work nice for younger terrestrials, and they are very clear....heres some pics

old,and new to compare size...

this is it before the mods....

a shot of my hand beside the container to compare to....

....dont mind the wrist....thats what happens when a 2 1/2 inch holesaw gets away on ya...

I cut the label area out, and hot glued some screen in its place...save having to try and peel the label off......sorry,i jus realized there are no shots of the lid??...jus picture some screen in place of the label...lol

finished product....

did the same for my MM P. scrofa.

I love finding cheap enclosure ideas!

Anyone else have any good finds when it comes T housing the thrifty way!

Post em up if ya do!

I'm cheap also, so I always try to find ways to get cheap enclosures. A similar one to this is turkey breast slice containers. Make some turkey sandwiches, poke some holes, and it works nicely.

I have three terrestrial slings. I made a hide for them out of a pop bottle cap. Just cut a part of the side out and they have a hide. Their water dish is a water bottle cap (Nestle) that is pretty shallow for a cap. All five of my T's are in 4"x4"x4" containers that cost $2.50 for four at Wal-Mart. All in all I would say that is pretty cheap. :D:clap:

check Wal-mart's rubbermade section they carry a 2 quart and 1 gallon clear jug with screw on lids small is under $2 and large under $3. The square shape makes it easy to save room as well. I also find small similar jugs in the nut section at the grocery that are great for slings.

Great idea... I'd just be concerned about stacking those salad containers once they have substrate in them.

I like the container store (usa)/solutions storage (canadian) acryllic shoe boxes. They are a bit more expensive ($3-10 depending on the size) but are super strong, wonderfully clear and stackable.
