I’ve always preferred glass over plastic/acrylic. There’s a lot better acrylic options now but figured I’d post some cheap glass enclosures I use. 2.5g I usually find on sale at local chain stores for 10-15$ as well as the 5.5g. I then buy a sheet of acrylic and rare earth magnets at the hardware store. For less then 20$ an enclosure I can set up these and they work great. I wish the 2.5g was an inch or two wider but they work great for terrestrials and fossorial Ts 5” or less. The 5.5g will hold most of everything else except those true 9+” giants. I use a dab of 5min epoxy for glueing the magnets on the top of the tank and the bottom of the lids. I thought they were worth a share. I’d rather spend money on the T but I also need it to look good. 6x8x12” for the 2.5g and 8x10.5x16” for 5.5

Gotta like custom made, functional, cost effective, and elegant design.

100% tho I really wish they made a 8x8x12” or 8x10x12”. It’s just hard to buy a 50-100$ enclosure. I honestly am going to use more of the 2.5g for some more 4-5” terrestrials and see how they do. Once they get set up with a burrow or hide they don’t seem to utilize the extra space in the 5.5g enclosure. Species dependent obviously because I have some other terrestrials that definitely move around a lot more and use the space. 2.5g seems it’s great for those pet rocks.

+1 for glass. Hard to beat the clarity and long term lack of scratches and fogginess :)

That would be awesome. I wish there was. 3.5 gallon available. Something that’s 8” wide by 10” tall but 12” long.

Figured I’d add to this post. Did a couple more 2.5 gallon enclosures. One is for my T.stirmi and the other is for my Pamphobeteus sp platyomma. All live plants and still need to add some live moss once it comes out of quarantine. Probably add the Pamphobeteus in a week or so and the stirmi once it molts. Both are 2-2.25” in size.

Those are nice cages man. The one thing that I really like about sterilites is the volume you can keep in one area. It's easier to manipulate and control the environment. Alot of versatility, but clarity not so much. I don't know many people who are waiting to see my T's, so the display isn't as big of an issue. I've kinda grown to like the esthetic of my own cages. When one day I'm in diapers, I can look at that old sterilite with a pie eating grin on my face lol

I get it. I did find some great sling to juvenile enclosures that can be stacked and are great for viewing at Walmart.
