Nice Veileds, I love chameleons. Ive attempted to breed once, only my efforts were in vain. I also bought a gravid female veiled who had a clutch of 60 eggs or so, all fertile, I dont know what I did wrong. I put them in the incubator, making sure when I moved them from thier position they were layed in that I kept them facing the same way, as to not move the air sac that forms at the top. Separated them 4 to each container, about an inch apart, set them on vermiculite/sphagnum moss, kept them in an incubator Misted the substrate every day, to keep them from dryin out. Perhaps you could tell me what to do differently next time I try????? I have had many chameleons in the past. Veileds, Sailfins, Wiedershamai (sp??) they were my favorite, they dont grow any bigger than 4 inches or so head to tail. Right now I am fresh out of Chameleons, they require a lot of attention, and I just don't have the time. Some day, when I have the time I eventually want to start collecting again! Good luck with your Chameleons. How many do you have?

Sometimes the adult female has death after the laying. General these females was too youn and theys lose too lot Ca. The bigger females can survive this hard period of live. In this period you must put for they a lot of vitamins expecially Ca. I don t know how many time need eggs. cca 6-7 months.

In the future I would like to buy Furcifer pardalis.
Have nice day!

I know the gestation period for Veilds is around 8-9 months. I would love to get back onto Chameleons, I think they are one of the prettiest creatures on earth. When i do get back onto them I want to buy a Panther Chameleon, they are a little on the spendy side, so I will wait until I can devote enough time to them. Keep posting pictures, i would love to look at some more.
Have a good day Brachy!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the gestation period for Veilds is around 8-9 months. I also had one of my chameleons get egg bound :( :( , she could not find a good enough spot to lay her eggs. I think it would be easier to breed the Chameleons that give live birth, which there are not very many!
