I recently discovered a beautiful hammock sac from my paired C. marshalli, but I’ve never actually cared for this type of egg sac before. I’ve bred tarantulas before and I have experience with the breeding process, but I want all of this to go smoothly.

Questions — Do I offer her prey items while she is guarding the sac because she isn’t carrying it? If so, when do I offer her food? She laid the egg sac on Monday and I’ve been trying to leave her alone as much as possible since she’s dropped. Should I continue to mist the enclosure every couple days or space it out more to disturb her less? Approximately how many days will it be before the spiderlings begin to emerge and how many slings should I expect from this species? Should I pull the slings as they emerge or let them molt in the enclosure with mum? How long can they stay with mum?

Might help you 😊 if your answers aren't there you can ask Dave under his vid on the comments he is also on fb under Dave Fisher and Daves little Beasties.
I haven't ever bred t's so I can't give answers myself but Dave can 😊 Hopefully someone with experience in these will add to this and be able to answer your exact questions but till then Dave may help.
Gl to you and mommas ❤ can't wait to see pics 😉

Pull, open and incubate at 30 days, you should have EWLs by this time....no need to do anything special till then.

Wait and have them hatch with mom and you will have to wrangle all the little ones.....many of which will be in the burrow, making it an even bigger pain with the added danger of potentially collapsing the burrow and burying many little ones....I know this from experience.....and I vowed to never let a sac hatch with mom again.

I thought t's like this had to be hatched out with mum because of the way they web the eggsac into their hides like balfouri.... learn something new everyday thank you cold 😊

Some tarantulas benefit from it. Others, its more work. I think it depends on the species. Daves little beasties is pretty good on that, you know already.

We are all waiting for your first breeding pair 😍

:smirk: Be advised, Adult Female Ceratogyrus marshalli are hornier than their Male Counterparts.
