Hi.
I was wondering if someone could give some insight on how to keep a C. darlingi sling, basic care and whatnot?

I'm planing to get one in the future so I want to be prepared.
Thank you in advance.

They are fossorial. Provide lots of sub for burrowing. I mist mine when the sub is dry, but lots of people will tell you not to mist. Trying to use a water dish, in my experience, is pretty pointless unless you wait until they have tunneled to their liking (otherwise it will get webbed up, buried, etc).

i keep mine (4 slings about 5/8" DLS) dry sub with water dish. i keep them in a tall deli cup (32 oz i think) and it is about 50% sub and 50% air which is a lit of air but all 4 have created some form of webbing from the sub all the way to the lid. 3 out of 4 adopted a starter burrow, though they are still out quite a lot and they have VERY good feedng responses and are very quick. They are also have no issue going to their food vs waiting for it to come to them.

If you decide to mist for providing water be very, very careful. They do not deal well with too much moisture at all.

So lots of dry sub + water dish?
Thank you all for your replies.
Yes. but as others have said, it could be a bit of a struggle with the water dish as they are likely to web over it. I don't worry about keeping them full 24/7 just fill 1 or 2 times a week (and any time it molts). This will keep any potentially wicked water to a minimum should help prevent moist sub and dead spiders.
