Hey i was wondering if anyone can tell me what these guys look like as slings. I have one thats about an inch...maybe 1 1/4 but when i look at it it dosent look like a Ceratogyrus brachycephalus, like comparing pics of of the adults and stuff it looks more like a Ceratogyrus sanderi - Sandyhorned baboon that i seen in the photo gallery of this site...so do they all look the same when they are young or what i just need like the c.brachycephalus decribed...sorry no pics not just yet

Well these guys barely have a horn th protrudes (sp?), but it's definitely visible being a solid black dot in the middle of the carapace.

4"+ Sub-Adult female (ventral view)

Same female (dorsal view)

Same female (front views)

Here's an unsexed 2"+ juvenile

If any of the pics don't load, right-click on them and select "show picture"

Some pet shops are known to do that on mislabeling T's so I wouldn't doubt that didn't happen

True it dosent really make me mad though because it was only 10$ its not like some of these people getting ripped off on pokies where they pay like 30,40,50$ extra or something i actully like this spider i have anywayz its personality is awsome, reminds me of a parahybana its just really bold when i open the lid to feed it it runs up and i just toss in a cricket and it goes chasing after it, alot of my T's will run into there hides or there holes in the ground if there out and relize im opening the lid, i like this spider alot so im not really mad...anyone know how large they get?

Well...yours is a ceratogyrus spp. for sure...and it doesnt look too far from brachycephalus except that the horn on that one is rather large considering the size of that T, but then again I've never seen a small sling of one of these either...

Well the little tiny horn thinggy on mine is kinda obvious if you get a good close look at it, it dosent stick up real high up but it is a sling id say for its size its similar to those pics i posted, you can even see the reddish color in its legs with mine that you see in those pics
