How cool! Sounds like an amazing spleunking trip with a spider thrown in. Any idea on species?

You'd think a cave dweller wouldn't be melanistic, cool hobby you have.
I was surprised by the color also. We found just two of them. We also found some glow-worms and albino fish. Maybe they found themselves trapped in the cave and are making the best of it..

No, I have no idea. Maybe someone on the boards will know.

After seeing that Bothriocyrtum that the other guy won it reminded me of your spider, maybe it's in that genus or something similar

We have a newly named Anamidae genus in Australia, Troglodiplura, that are eyeless cave dwelling wishbones/trapdoors. Wonder if what you've found behaves similarly
