As of yesterday I keep about 29 now. I also keep a pair of jungles. There are some awesome morphs over the last few years that I cant wait to be more affordable.

Good Gawd, 29 carpets?!? I thought my 3 M. spilota cheynei ate me out of house and home. I am hoping to breed them. I have 1.1 that have lived together for 2 years before I got them and a female that lives seperate. Any advice on encouraging breeding?

Not really, in fact I never ment to breed them, it was more of a accident than anything{D . I just had a male and female living together, and nature took its course.

Breeding carpets is super easy my girl was exposed to two different males but one of them was because his cage door was messed up. I went into check on them the next mouring they was curled up together like somethinng happened and I was like uh oh. In the fall I wait for one of the males to go off feed and then I stop feeding them and begin cooling them down to 60s at night and low to mid 80s during the day the end of December I warm them back up to their normal temperatures and begin offering them food and then start pairing them up. Recently I have begun offering the bigger adult ones small rabbits. My jungles would not eat rats but my coastals do.
