Hello!
I have noticed that my c versi has a bald spot on the top of her mirror patch. Is this normal or should I be concerned?
I never bother her (aside from feeding and watering), she is about a year old (actually not sure if male or female) and has been doing great so far. I’m not sure if it is common for the patch to look like this or for c versis to kick hair this much.
Thank you for any wisdom/advice as I am very new to keeping tarantulas. IMG_1116.jpeg IMG_1117.jpeg

Avics do bald before molting. Though none of my versi have, some of my other Avics have. But I would expect the balding to be more posterior based on another Avic species that always does it IME.

It doesn't look like anything to worry about. Probably nearing a molt. Avicularia/Caribena don't kick UrS, they physically rub them off on something instead (type II). Yours may be rubbing them around the webbing as it prepares to molt.
