Can anyone help me find a good place for T caresheets no specific Sp. at this time, just a general education process and refresher course....Not really too keen on following Petco care guides...

Care sheets are basically worthless...just stop reading them altogether.

There are only a few ways to keep all kinds of ts, care sheets give the impression they all need something specific....they dont.

Theres one way to house terrestrials, 2 ways to house arboreals (avics one way, others another way).....and in terms of husbandry, theyre either kept dry, partially dry or damp.

Keep it simple, care sheets needlessly over complicate the easy task of keeping ts.

Thank you very much Cold Blood, just kinda curious about my H.Hystocrates enclosure...at this time i have it in an 8 inch deep,11x18 tupperware box, with about 5 inches of soil...seems to be doin great recently molted, lookin all dark and mysterious, ....question/concern is, there is condensation on the walls of the enclosure, is this a good thing for this Sp. or no?

Probably need more venting. Can you post some pics of the enclosure? Post clear, in focus pics of the entire enclosure.

Oy, that is too wet IMHO! Needs vent holes around the perimeter of the enclosure on top and down the short the sides for cross ventilation.

More sub too...

Biggest problem with care sheets is beginners not knowing whose are trustworthy or not. I am sure there has to be a few excellent care sheets out there -- but you almost need to already be an expert before you know which ones to trust. Sort of defeats the purpose, huh? I say avoid care sheets and join AB!

I'm sure the advice I've received here on AB has probably saved the lives of some of my Ts, or at least made their accommodations and husbandry a whole LOT more comfy and safe-feeling for them!

I totally agree, I am by no means a beginner, yet i am also by no means an expert, so i am constantly looking for more, better, and updated info on all my T's , I love hearing from everyone on how they keep their T's and advice on mine. Anything i can do to make my 8 legged little buddy more comfy and happy I will do...

The more moist a enclosure is kept, the more important ventilation is! Increase the ventilation!
Just added about 25 more vent holes

Did you use wet substrate? Those blocks maybe that you need to wet and then expand?

H. gigas like moist substrate. Should be fine now that you added more ventilation.
