This will be my first spider, and I'm really exited! I saw this species and heard they were good for a beginner, so I think I'll get one, but there isn't alot of info on how to care for them on the internet, can someone who has experience with them give me some info?

Keep em dry. Temps about 72-78°F and below 65% humidity and they do well.

Thanks! One more question, could they eat mealworms or just crickets?

Good Choice! I have two P scrofa, my female is my favorite tarantula. They don't get very big, with a max of about 4', but they're very busy t's with interesting behavior. Keep them dry and provide some different stuff in their cage as they love to explore. Their behavior, in my experience, is a little unpredictable; they might throw a threat pose one day and be completely calm the next.
