I dont think you should ever feed an animal that you care for a live adult mouse, serious injury can result.

will a cane toad ever really need an adult mouse? I would just stick to hoppers for it honestly, i dont think it would need a full grown mouse.

Did you read that caresheet I went and found for you? Because it only lists PINKIE mice for adults.

Cane toads only get 8-10 inches long. That's the same size as an adult mouse. And if you don't care that an adult mouse could easily kill your animals, that's beyond uncool.

I don't know where you live, but I've never seen an adult mouse anywhere close to 8-10 inches long, that's more the size of an adult rat. Cane Toads can also get as large as 15 inches snout to vent, and weigh 5 lbs, never heard of a mouse weighing 5 lbs. I'm not condoning live feeding of adult mice in any way, just pointing this out, since the toads will also consume dead animals, you can save yourself the risk.

Are you sure? :? Granted, it's been a while since I had adult mice in my freezer, but I could have sworn they were about that big. Maybe they were jumbo mice. {D

yea that would be a huge moust, unless counting the tail too, but that really doesnt add much to the size. Most mice I see are around 3-4" roughly. But still i dont think it would need to eat a full grown mouse. I still think fuzzies/hoppers are the best bet. Life or frozen is your call, not gonna suggest anything here, I just think full grown isnt necessary.

In terms of the people from the UK that post here, they do, on average, seem to take the law seriously.

it is only illegal if you have other means to feed your animal ie it will taken frozen. but ost reptile shops over here sell feeder mice live especially since some snakes are extremely diffiult to switch to prekilled
