Can you use this for hissers

Sorry for all the questions lately I just have alot to ask about hissers, G. portentosa. So can you use normal potting mix like for your garden as a substrate?
we don’t have peat moss or any bio sub since we really don’t have all that much money and all we do have is regular garden soil

Do not use potting mix.
You don't need to provide them with any substrate at all, though. They will happily breed to the point of outgrowing a plastic tote with harborage.

I'd avoid potting soil unless you're sure no fertilizers or pesticides have been added. Coco fiber or no substrate at all would be a better choice IMO (though some of the more finicky hisser species don't do well on barebottom tanks).
