I'm pretty new to geckos and I haven't kept reptiles in a long time. I know back in the day I used to mix anoles, long tailed lizards, and house geckos. Right now I have a bibron's gecko and I wanted to know if I could mix him with any other type of arboreal or terrestrial geckos providing that give them enough space and hides.

For instance... would a leopard gecko and an arboreal gecko conflict?

generally it is not recomended to mix species, especially if they are from diferent regions. one gecko could host a non-dentrimental worm or flagylate, but to the other gecko it would be exotic and deadly.

on the other hand, it might be ok, and if its not too big of a deal to you if one or the other or both dies, go for it.

at one point i kept a fat tail and a flying gecko together, and never had any problems. course that was eight years ago, and i would never do that now.

I'd only risk CB individuals. Otherwise you run the risk of getting everyone sick.

even with cb, many geckos naturally have internal bugs that are not too big of a deal.

but you start mixing the bugs between species and it could become a big enough deal to make you regret it.

Plus a lot of geckos can be territorial. Its usually not a good idea. However, if you are well informed, have weighed the risks, and are very attentive to the needs of the individual species, don't let us stop you from experimenting.

There's also the question of what "arboreal" gecko you're talking about. Other very serious already-mentioned problems aside, unless their housing needs are exactly the same as a leopard gecko's, there is no possible way to put both species in the same enclosure and not be mistreating one or both with bad conditions.

continuing with what Mushroom Spore said if you are planning on having a leopard gecko co habitate with a arborial gecko there is no possible way to do it as you would be forcing one of them to live in a habitat which they are not suited to, also did you say you had a bibrons gecko? and you would like to house another species with? if so i am sure there will be several species out there that will live in a similar habitat and so it could be possible but it is just weather the two species would get along or be detremental to eachothers health as previously stated about the parasites, but its up to you

I've heard of people housing cresties and mossy prehensiles together. I've also seen pictures of the crossbreed, its pretty sweet.
