Hi,
I purchased this as "Malaysian Huntsman Spider." I haven't messed with it much, but it seemed slower than I expected. Definitely no H.venatoria. Since relocating it, I haven't seen it at all.

I know my photo skills aren't that great. It is a pumpkin orange color.

Thanks for looking!

well it doesnt have the "fuzzy" appearance of the "Malaysian orange Huntsman" that was advertised quite a bit a couple months ago. Im not sure.. where did you get it from? did they not know the latin name? I believe the afore mentioned huntsman was a Rhitymna sp. beyond that I can help ya, sorry.. but dont worry Im SURE someone here knows what it is haha :D

I don't know either, but I must say it looks great. And speaking of IDing... Is there(on the market) some good book, encyclopedia,...or something else perhaps that is used for IDing Ts and other arachnids? A book with lots of pics and info on many diferent species?
Sorry if this post don't fit in this thread:eek:

Hey
I purchased it from Botar in November. He had little data on it also.
I went through the World Spider Catalog, and tried to crossreference a great deal of the SPARASSIDAE from malaysia. I pretty much hit a dead end. If someone can Identify it to even the generic level, that would be awesome. Or if it is even a part of a different family, let us know.
I kinda figured I wouldn't get any results, but it is worth a shot. Maybe some of our Malaysian friends could help out!
Thanks for looking!
