Hey all. I have been thinking of starting up a roach colony for my tarantulas and I have 2 Fire Belly Toads (dont know their scientific name). Can toads eat roaches ok? It would seem pointless if I started a roach colony and still had to go buy crickets for the toads. Thanks.

They would have to be small roaches only (nymphs) if the toads can eat roaches.

The Bombina can eat small soft bodied roaches such as Lobsters no problem. Mine always did well with them.

Edit: I found adult Lobsters to be too large for my B. orientalis, but they handled the nymphs just fine.
