can tarantulas instinctively know when to increase their burrow size?

ever since my G Pulchripes died of stuck molt (someone said that he might have chosen a bad spot to molt) ive been worried that my other Ts might suffer the same
My Tvagans and T albo (both 2-3 inch DLS) has a burrow which i can see from the side and ive noticed that if they molt they might have some trouble
should I rehouse them? or will they increase the height of their burrow during pre molt?

Leave them alone, they’re fine

Post a pic if worried

I've noticed many of mine reworking their burrow or web tube in the weeks/months leading up to a molt to create more space. It seems like an instinct to me. Don't worry, they'll be fine underground. They know how to spider. Molting is inherently somewhat risky, and occasional molting mishaps are an unfortunate but natural part of their biology. It's one of the downsides to the whole exoskeleton thing.

i couldnt get the T albo enclosure because above it is the A genic enclosure who is currently in a molting process

It already has plenty of headroom there. Mine have molted without issue in much tighter quarters. I would leave it alone and only intervene if you see it has started molting and fails to progress once it started to emerge from the exuvia.

They are absolutely clueless. In fact locals go into the rainforests and all over, and make new burrows for them all the time.

Ah, yes. Revealing the true cause of wild population decline. It's not the habitat loss, it's that not enough people are going out there and enlarging their burrows for them. Poor things.

I actually just got back from French Guiana where I was remodeling web funnels up high for underprivileged Avics. Very fulfilling work.
