Hello all! I live in Las Vegas, Nevada just to give some insight on where this spider is native to
We have many spiders come in during this time of year and we just cannot identify what it is
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

( the pictures are not the best, I apologize)

also we captured and released him ☺

No idea what it is, but good on you for releasing him. Wild spiders should stay wild. Very cool looking though

Looks like a southern house spider. Here’s a pic of one from online and it’s looks definitely similar. Their butts can be big or tiny depending on how full they are. They can be all kinds of colors too. Kukulcania hibernalis
At least that’s what I think it is.
*these pics are not mine I found them on google

I've personally seen Kukulcania in locales directly outside of Vegas when I lived there. They are slow, docile spiders, they act like little tarantulas, and most people don't know they exist. I think the other poster is correct.

I used to “play with them” when I was a kid. Let them hang out in my hair and walk on my face? I swear I don’t know how I survived my childhood with all the stupid stuff I would do. If my mom had known the half of it she would have killed over right then and there lol.
