Can Millipedes Eat Citrus or Acidic Fruits?

I know that cucumbers, apples, and banana are some good foods for millies, but I normally only have other fruits on me. I tend to have a crazy amount of oranges and pineapples compared to other fruits and veggies though. Is it safe to feed millipedes these acidic or citrus fruits? This could also include tomatoes. I just don't want to kill them by trying to vary their foods.

My A. Gigas loves tomato, will nibble a little pineapple too, but citrus is not good for them at all, as far as I know! Wouldn't risk it.

I know some millipedes favor oranges over other supplemental foods, so I don't think it would be a problem to try some small amounts. Obviously you don't want to offer a lot of it, and if they don't eat it it probably isn't a good idea to keep offering it.

Thanks,

Mine (in this case, A. gigas, S. fischeri, and S. servatius) definitely have had a couple slices of clementine before and seemed to enjoy it. I don't give it any more commonly than anything else I give them (apple of varying varieties is my usual fare, though sometimes fish flake or a mushroom, or melons of different type get used too).

It seems that larger spirostreptids are more varied in their diets than a lot of other groups, so I would agree with @Arthroverts - try small amounts and if they eat it, then offer it every once in a while.
