Can lysol spray hurt a tarantula at all?

Ok , I just cleaned my A. geniculata's enclosure, he/she is probably about 1.5 inches. A few hours before that though, my mom's husband sprayed the whole bathroom(that's where I cleaned the enclosure) with lysol. I noticed that after I washed it out, the deli container I keep it in, smelled like lysol. Can that lingering smell hurt the spider at all? Or am I just over thinking things? And is lysol even deadly to tarantulas?

How about you take a deep breathe of Lysol and report back on how you're feeling.

Dude get the T out quick, clean that enclosure again very thoroughly! For future reference, Ts and pretty much any cleaning chemical don't go well together

Lysol partly contains 2-phenylphenol, which is an agricultural fungicide - not to mention the desinfecting properties of ethyalcohol and the other stuff in that...as said before: Get the T out of that enclosure, set up a new one or clean that one thoroughly until the smell and any whatsoever residue of it is gone.

That you even have to ask about this stuff maybe being harmful tells me that you need to research more about tarantulas and their vulnerabilities. No whatsoever cleaning stuff, insect killer stuff or what not should be used in the vicinity of tarantulas, or their cages -ever-. They do need a very "normal" habitat without any intereference of those things by humans.

Hope the sling survives...for the next time you probably want to transfer sling in your room instead of the bathroom - or check bathroom first!
