If I leave a cricket or super worm in w/ my scorpion so it can just take it pretty much whenever would that be okay? Sometimes it doesn't take it right away. The scorpion is a Desert Hairy. A cricket or super worm left in the terrarium won't harm it any will it?

If you are going leave in there for 24 hours crush their heads first then leave in there 24 hours. You don't want the prey to become the predator. If they are untouched remove them or their leftovers after 24 hours

Sounds like a plan. Even after crushing their heads will the scorpion still go for them? And does this apply to just the super worms or the crickets also?

This is what I was going to say. Crush the head so if it is not eaten it does not become a threat.
Does it matter if I crush the head or cut it off w/ a knife instead? I somewhat doubt it, since either will result in brain death.

With super worms ( Mario Worms ) you need to crush a good 1/3 of the body from the head.

Crushed head Mario worms have been known to still survive and burrow to reappear as nice big black beetles.

No need to crush any crickets, unless it's really way to big for the scorpion to manage.

Just don't feed anything prior to your scorpion due to molt. Most feeders will enjoy the nice soft scorpion molting.

I didn't crush the head of the super worm I left in today. I cut it off. I think it should be fine. It pretty well went limp. Thank you for letting me know I won't need to kill the crickets though. I don't know if the DHS will take pre killed super worms. I'm gonna leave the one I put in today overnight and see how it goes. The P. spinigerus I got I'm just feeding it small crickets at the moment. A super worm would be just way too big.

I don't crush the heads of crickets but I do take them out if they are not eaten overnight.
