Can I keep my tarantulas in my room?

Hey guys, so here's my question: Can I keep my tarantulas in room? The reason I ask this is because quite often I'll come in my room, turn on the lights then turn them off countless times throughout the day. I also play music throughout my room, not too loud but moderately I guess. These sudden changes in their environment must disturb them in some way right? I like to look at them every now and then while I'm working, but if I have to move them, I'll do it. I have a garage I could keep them in that has low sunlight, controlled temperature and is the quietest room in the house except a car coming in every now and then. What do you think I should do? Any help is appreciated!

You can keep them in your room, it seems like they will be fine. If you can put them in the garage though, that would be better.

Lots of people do. I'd consider the garage myself if it never gets too hot or cold, and there's no fumes or chemicals; also gives you room for expansion. My previous spider room was a 2 car garage. In your bedroom, you may have to get used to is the chirping of crickets in the middle of the night. But the upside is you'd get to see more of your spider.

The fumes from the car COULD build up in their system over time so I wouldn't recommend keeping them in the garage. Your room should be fine.

I keep mine in my room also (it's getting to the point where there isn't much room for anything else lol) They're the last thing I look at before sleeping and the first I look at when I wake up and I wouldn't wana change that =) I wouldn't worry about the light going on and off, from what I see it doesn't bother them too much, they really only freak out if you get close to their enclosures. Music wont affect them either unless it's causing vibrations.
Car garage would be ideal if there was no car inside lol Every time it drives in or pulls out it's going to cause bigger vibrations than you would in your room, and then there are the fumes people mentioned

How would it be better? I just want to know, sorry, I just want something to base off of.

Yeah i would like to see them more, and would the spiders have to adjust dramatically with their new surroundings?

Never thought about that :) Thanks! That's a pretty big turning point in my decision?

How would what be better? Keeping it in a garage is a bad idea IMO, because every time a car goes in or out, it's going to be like an earthquake to the tarantulas. Not to mention the fumes could be toxic as people mentioned above.

All of mine are in my bedroom. Makes for an interesting awakening if one ever escapes. :D

Kidding aside, yes you can keep them in your room.

yea i have 6 of them in my room right now. I was married had a house and a specail room all for the t's that was tempature controlled after a bad divorce i had to go and grab all my t's before my x let them all die. So yea i have had both situations...Im in a basement so it gets cold in the winter time. I bought a space heater and pretty much run it 24/7 in the summer (im in maryland we have 4 season ) i turn it off house usally stays warm enough. My room stays about 70-74deg all the time...gotta wear less ha ha..lol I found to that the digital ones work better at keeping a decent temp. I had a space heater running for 3 years now no issues knock on wood. So in a perfect world i want a T room , just so i dont have to sleep in the crazy topic weather that my t's do.

Oh I'm sorry and it looks you have a T room already! Those temperatures seem pretty hard to keep it like that, especially for you as well, but that's dedication! Lol thanks for you response :)
