Is it a mealworm pupa? Or it could be dermestid beetle larvae? That's all I can think it could be.

If you aren't sure what it is I wouldn't recommend feeding it to your tarantula.

Sounds like a pupae. One of your mealworms (Which is a larva for a beetle) has turned into it's pupae stage. The stage where it's transforming into a beetle. Just leave it in there and it'll emerge as a beetle. Side note on feeding them to T's in this stage:

I decided to give it a shot, figured why not, it'd be an easy and soft meal for my T. I was well aware of what it was and didn't see it being a problem. So I put it in there for my T. It wiggled itself down into it's hide which wasn't good cause I had to dig it out. She didn't go for it, in fact my A. versicolor got seriously aggressive, it was the first time I EVER saw her strike something. And when I was trying to pull it out from the bottom of her tube web, it caused it to wiggle some and she struck it 2 more times. So needless to say she didn't eat it. She hated it.

Lesson learned, I don't try and give her pupa. She has eaten the beetles before without issue, so you could probably get away with feeding it the beetle if its not to large once it emerges. But yeah. It's just a meal worm in its second stage of life. You could easily breed them so you didn't have to keep buying them if you wanted. Doesn't take much at all. Not at all the pain in the butt like super worms are. I breed them myself using oats and carrots as food sources.

You simply didn't understand the nature of this thread :)

I only read what is typed on a screen, and make no assumptions. I take it pretty literally, for when people make assumptions, things go off the rails. Now if someone puts emoticons after statements, that's a different story at times.
